![]() When the first Omnic Crisis struck, Jack and Gabriel were among the first inductees into the newly formed Overwatch. Formerly just a mere farmer's son from Indiana, Jack joined the military at the age of 18, eventually undergoing a "super soldier enhancement" program alongside his best friend Gabriel Reyes. His identity is in fact the celebrated Overwatch hero and leader Jack Morrison. Unrelenting in his search to find those responsible for Overwatch's fall, Soldier: 76 will stop at nothing to bring them to justice. ![]() In addition, he utilizes a cutting-edge arsenal, much of it stolen in raids on Overwatch installations. While his true identity remains a mystery, he is believed to have been trained as a member of the American "soldier enhancement program." He possesses physical capabilities exceeding those of a conventional soldier's, as well as other augmentations that make him a peerless combatant. Though to the outside world his motives are inscrutable, there are those who claim that he is a former Overwatch agent, determined to shed light on the conspiracy that brought down the organization. Soldier: 76 revealed himself in a string of attacks that crisscrossed the globe, targeting financial institutions, shadowy corporations, and secure Overwatch facilities. The new season of the Overwatch League, which will be played in the second chapter and in a 5v5 configuration, will instead be inaugurated on May 5th.Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore (English) note Other Languages: Carlos Segundo (Latin American Spanish), Ramón Langa (European Spanish), Tōru Ōkawa (Japanese), Patrick Borg (French), Roberto Draghetti (Italian until his death in 2020), Martin Keßler (German), José Augusto Sendim (Brazilian Portuguese) Seung-jun Kim (Korean), Yangshao Wen (Taiwanese Chinese), Liu Yao (Mandarin Chinese), Andrzej Chudy (Polish), Maxim Pinsker (Russian)Ĭurrently the target of an international manhunt, the vigilante known as Soldier: 76 wages a personal war to expose the truth behind Overwatch's collapse. Their job is to help the development team prepare everything they need for the April Beta session. We also report that on March 10 the first closed Alpha test of Overwatch 2 PvP kicked off, in which only Blizzard employees, Overwatch League professionals and some selected groups are participating. Waiting to find out more details about it, we remind you that in view of Overwatch 2 also Sombra, Bastion and Brigitte have undergone a heavy rework. The screenshot, which you can also view at the bottom of this news, therefore shows a team of five heroes (another big news of Overwatch 2), composed of the attackers Soldier-76 and the newcomer Sojourn, the healers Lucio and Ana, and the tank Doomfist. ![]() The rework of the Nigerian mercenary, which a developer had already briefly touched upon during an AMA session last year, seems to have been done. ![]() Not only does it show a new look for Soldier-76, a former Overwatch boss who went into hiding and now sports a grizzled goatee, but also confirms the change of department for Doomfist, who in the second chapter will play the role of the tank in all respects.
